I am thankful for many many many other things. I could go on all day long...but those are just a few. This Thanksgiving has been one of the best Thanksgiving's I've had. I got to spend it with BJ and enjoy the whole day with him. We slept in, then made a big dinner, and then crashed on the couches for a good afternoon nap, and then headed out to see the movie 4 Christmases. Really funny movie by the way. Actually November 27 was my original due date for Baby Babe. No Baby Babe yet though......hoping sometime soon! This Thanksgiving I just had so many things to be thankful for and I was trying to think back on ALL the things in the past year that God has seen us through.....big and small. There were WAY too many to even count! God has shown us his grace and mercy so much in the past year that I don't even know where to begin to thank Him or even show Him how thankful I am. I feel sometimes that just expressing my thanks to Him isn't enough...that I need to do more. The only way that I can think of to do that is just to be a blessing to others as He has blessed me. That is what I want to change about myself....I want to be MORE of a blessing to others than what I have been! At the time sometimes you feel that everything is just going so terrible wrong, and then God smacks you across the face and shows you, "NO, this is what I have planned for you". And He shows you how awesome your life can be if you just choose to listen and follow Him. I am learning that each and every day and it gets more exciting each and every day:)
Well, Thanksgiving day is now done with, and Christmas is just right around the corner. Bj and I had gotten a Christmas tree this year, and so we spent the afternoon decorating it with oranaments, a tree skirt, and a pretty gold star. Decorating for Christmas makes me so excited! And once again, at Christmas we won't be able to head home to be with family...but as I did on Thanksgiving day, I will remember all the things that I am thankful for, and the many traditions and memories that I have with my family back home. Those are the things I will cling to on that day. But we will also be able to start our own traditions for Baby Babe will be with us for it's first Christmas! We can't wait:)
